About This Auction

1 DELICIOUS ADDITION TO YOUR WINE CELLAR DOUBLE MAGNUM From the wine makers: "Our Georges de Latour Cabernet Sauvignon has been widely recognized as the benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford since its inaugural vintage in 1936. Our understanding of terroir comes from more than 100 years of creating rich, classic Napa Valley wines. Our legacy honors the marriage between state-of-the-art technology and gentle, traditional winemaking methods, a combination that enhances the expression of our remarkable vineyards." "Wine Advocate "Blended of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 3 % Merlot, all coming mainly from the Rutherford AVA, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Georges de Latour has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of baked black berries, dried mulberries and preserved plums with hints of allspice, cardamom, lavender and cigar box. Full-bodied, rich and expressive even today, it has a firm, chewy backbone and bags of freshness, promising a long-life and much more to come with careful cellaring." -Lisa Perrotti-Brown, , October 2017
Fueling Their Future - A Virtual Fundraiser for Food For Children

About This Campaign

Fueling Their Future is a virtual fundraising campaign to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County's award winning Food For Children program.

Thanks to a generous donor all donations to this campaign will be MATCHED!

Food For Children is a fast-paced food distribution that provides fresh fruits and vegetables and non-perishable foods, as well as basic nutrition tips and food tastings to support healthy families.

Winner of the Congressional Victory Against Hunger Award, Food For Children provides fresh produce and essential food staples to children and families at dozens of sites throughout Santa Cruz County. Fresh and healthy foods can be rare—and unaffordable—in many low-income communities, but Food For Children brings the produce aisle to the neighborhood. Staff offer nutrition tips and menu ideas to help parents prepare the food in healthy ways, so back at home, the whole family eats well, and the kids are taking in not only the vitamins and nutrients they need to learn in school, but also the healthy habits they need for a successful future.
