Making sure all kids have access to nutritious food is an investment in the future of our community.

Every dollar we receive can provide up to 4 healthy meals, but when you invest today, every dollar you give will be DOUBLED and provide up to 8 meals for those who struggle with food insecurity.

Every child needs healthy food every day.

But for 1 in 2 children in Santa Cruz County who face food insecurity, the nutritious food they need to grow is in scarce supply. For these young people, hunger makes it hard to focus, hard to grow, and hard to find the bright future they deserve.

That’s why Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County is committed to alleviating hunger in our community.

Our award-winning Food For Children Program provides fresh produce, food staples, and nutrition education at sites throughout Santa Cruz County to support healthy families.

From weekend meal kits and summer programs to mobile food pantries and neighborhood distribution centers, Second Harvest ensures that children always have access to the nutritious food they need—not just to survive, but to thrive.

Together We are the Food Bank. Donors like you, volunteers, community partners, the AG community, businesses, the faith community, students, and families working alongside each other providing access to needed food for people in Santa Cruz County.

We are the Food Bank – Reaching 65,000 people monthly ensuring they have access to healthy nutritious food. Our unity, working with 80 agencies, engages the community, teaches nutrition classes, distributes food and helps people access the CalFresh food assistance. Through all seasons, through the pandemic, fires, earthquakes, storms and floods, We are the Food Bank of our community.
