While the economic climate remains challenging this holiday season, Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County is standing strong in our mission to provide nourishment for all community members—because we know that you are standing with us.

Second Harvest is leading our community to ensure that everyone facing hunger has nutritious food every day, especially at this time of year. While many of us hang decorations, wrap gifts, and plan dinner celebrations, it’s important to remember that thousands of our neighbors are fighting to make ends meet. Inflation is high, and food, fuel, and housing prices continue to rise. For far too many, life is a balancing act of need, and food for the table often comes last—even during the holiday season.

That’s why we are more committed than ever to feeding those who are hungry today and create solutions that will end hunger tomorrow. We source more than 11 million pounds of nutritious food every year, and thanks to donors like you, we can provide even more than a healthy meal—we can provide hope.

As hard-working parents stretch already-thin budgets to feed their families, children fight to grow up strong and healthy, and seniors seek nutritious food on a fixed income, your generosity reminds them that they have a community of support behind them.

In Support of Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County

Together We are the Food Bank. Donors like you, volunteers, community partners, the AG community, businesses, the faith community, students, and families working alongside each other providing access to needed food for people in Santa Cruz County.

We are the Food Bank – Reaching 65,000 people monthly ensuring they have access to healthy nutritious food. Our unity, working with 80 agencies, engages the community, teaches nutrition classes, distributes food and helps people access the CalFresh food assistance. Through all seasons, through the pandemic, fires, earthquakes, storms and floods, We are the Food Bank of our community.
