A Message From Cabrillo Veeps
Greetings Cabrillo College in working to raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank in Santa Cruz County.
As you may know, food insecurity is still on the rise. Second Harvest Food Bank feeds 65,000 individuals in our County each month and distributes 10 Million pounds of food each year. Currently, in Santa Cruz County, 1 in 3 residents are food insecure, and 26% of families with children struggle with food insecurity.
At Cabrillo, with the Fresh Market distributions implemented by Student Services in Aptos and Watsonville, Second Harvest also brings healthy food to Cabrillo students, staff, and faculty.
Thanks to Second Harvest's relationships with farmers, retailers, food bank networks, and dedicated volunteers, every $1 donated = 3 healthy meals for Santa Cruz County, distributed by a network of 80 partner agencies throughout the County.
Please consider donating today!
