A Message From Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets

As we count our blessings during this holiday season, let us also open our hearts to those in need in our community. Please join us in raising funds for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County to help feed our hungry. Did you know that one in four children and one in five adults face hunger every day in Santa Cruz County? Every dollar donated provides four meals to someone in need. With a $20 donation to Second Harvest at our farmers markets, you will receive a canvas tote bag courtesy of the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets. Donations can be made at the information booth at these two markets: Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA 95003 Saturdays, 8 am until 12 pm Holiday Drive Dates: December 7, 14, 21 Monterey Farmers Market at Monterey Peninsula College 930 Fremont Street, Monterey, CA 93940 Fridays, 10 am until 2 pm Holiday Drive Dates: December 6, 13, 20 For more information about the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets, please visit www.montereybayfarmers.org.

In Support of Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County

Together We are the Food Bank. Donors like you, volunteers, community partners, the AG community, businesses, the faith community, students, and families working alongside each other providing access to needed food for people in Santa Cruz County.

We are the Food Bank – Reaching 65,000 people monthly ensuring they have access to healthy nutritious food. Our unity, working with 80 agencies, engages the community, teaches nutrition classes, distributes food and helps people access the CalFresh food assistance. Through all seasons, through the pandemic, fires, earthquakes, storms and floods, We are the Food Bank of our community.
