A Message From County of Santa Cruz

County of Santa Cruz Employees raise funds each year to feed people in need, as part of Second Harvest Food Bank's Holiday Food and Fund Drive. Staff at the County are dedicated to helping end hunger. Be part of our goal this holiday season, to raise 207,435 meals for people in need by raising $51,858 - which equals roughly $20.21 per employee. Last year, an anonymous donor matched County of Santa Cruz Employees’ donations dollar for dollar, up to $50,000, allowing us to raise a record-breaking 477,834 meals for families in need last year. For an unprecedented second year, this anonymous donor has offered to again match County of Santa Cruz Employees’ donations dollar for dollar, up to $50,000! We have the opportunity to blow right past our $51,858 annual goal, and make over a $100,000 donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank again this year! Together We are the Food Bank. Donors like you, volunteers, community partners, the AG community, businesses, the faith community, students, and families working alongside each other providing access to needed food for people in Santa Cruz County.

We are the Food Bank – Reaching 65,000 people monthly ensuring they have access to healthy nutritious food. Our unity, working with 80 agencies, engages the community, teaches nutrition classes, distributes food and helps people access the CalFresh food assistance. Through all seasons, through the pandemic, fires, earthquakes, storms and floods, We are the Food Bank of our community.
